Sharmishtha Sen (Sammy) is a South Asian woman in the gaming industry, bringing strong professional experience from the Australian games sector. She has worked across mobile, indie, AAA, and console projects, specializing in state machines, VFX, combat systems, economy design, game balance, and particle systems, narrative design.
She is passionate about creating games that are intuitive, accessible, and enjoyable for players of all backgrounds. Sammy actively supports women in games and contributes to inclusive, collaborative development spaces where creativity and diverse perspectives thrive.
She has spoken at Technically Games 2024 and 2025, SXSW Sydney, and has been involved with IGDA Melbourne through talks, community engagement, and showcasing her work. Her academic research has been featured at the European Conference on Game‑Based Learning, and her indie projects have been showcased at IGDA Melbourne events and the RMIT Design Expo.
Equipped with a Master’s degree from RMIT University, she brings a strong blend of technical expertise, creative insight, and industry experience to the table continuing to craft meaningful, player‑focused game experiences.
